ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Community classes are run by Instructors who also regularly teach in the jail. The purpose of the program is to provide a familiar class structure specific to the demands and stresses of women who wish to transition successfully into the community. We offer a weekly yoga class in
Sundays from 11:00am-12:15pm at the Yoga Workshop (located at 2020 21st Street in Boulder).

WHAT'S HAPPENING NEXT?
Transitional Yoga Program
program has certainly seen a lot of growth over the past several years. The classes are approved pro-social activities through Boulder County probation department, and they are free for our participants to attend. We have also been asked to create a yoga program in Broomfield County detention Center, which began in February 2018. We are inviting all of our participants from both facilities to the free community yoga class in Boulder, CO. every Sunday!
Our research study has been completed and we presented some preliminary findings at the Association of Psychological Science in San Francisco, CA in May 2018. This was an amazing opportunity to connect with other researchers in the field of psychology that are interested in the benefits of yoga and other health and well-being practices. We are currently working on the manuscript to be published in a research journal. Stay tuned!
